I was awarded a PhD in Islamic Studies from the University of Durham in 2015. I have published research articles in the<em>&nbsp;Journal of Near Eastern Studies<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society<\/em>, the&nbsp;<em>Muslim World<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs<\/em>. My first book&nbsp;<em>In Search of Ali ibn Abi Talib\u2019s Codex: History and Traditions of the Earliest Copy of the Qur\u2019an<\/em>, was published in 2018. I am currently writing my second monograph on the&nbsp;<em>Textual integrity of the Qur\u2019an<\/em>. I am specialised in the&nbsp;<em>isnad-cum-matn method<\/em>&nbsp;and am interested in working with Sunni\/Shi\u02bfi sources.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Research related to commentary<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I am editing a volume on Qur\u2019anic commentary entitled,&nbsp;<em>Understanding Surah al Baqarah: A Modern Interpretation of the Qur\u2019an in the Light of the Qur\u2019an<\/em>&nbsp;(SBC Publication: London, 2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work analyses some of the prominent classical and contemporary Sunni and Shi\u02bfi commentators to relate their commentaries to contemporary Muslim communities living in the West. The volume is intended to benefit those Muslim and non-Muslim readers who are interested in a comprehensive understanding of the Quran and Muslim faith.
